Cave le Bosset

The organically grown vineyard is nestled in the heart of the Valais Alps. Facing due south, the parcels sit alongside the snowy peaks.

The estate covers the three municipalities of Leytron, Saillon and Chamoson and benefits from the arid and sunny climate of the hills on the right bank of the river Rhône.

The red helleborine is a wild orchid that thrives in our vineyards.

Being the symbol of our logo, the flower conveys our commitment to respect the environment.

The soil is at the heart of our approach to winegrowing.

We use several innovative techniques such as the use of green manure (as shown in the photo), the addition of RCW (ramial chipped wood), the seedling of indigenous plants and the spreading of marsh straw. The aim is to create a living soil that provides the grapes with a sap supplied by minerals and organic compounds linked to the activity of microorganisms.

To ensure a high concentration of our wines, we limit the summer harvest to 2 or 3 successive cuttings.

During the grape harvest, a final quality selection is carefully carried out by our grape-pickers.

As soon as the grapes are picked, they are quickly pressed and put into vats without the addition of sulphites or any other products.

This enables our wines to reach exceptionally low sulphite levels.

Our wines are matured to enhance to the greatest extent the typicity of the grape variety.

This is facilitated by low yields that allow the production of concentrated juices.

We pay close attention to our wines, maturing them with all the patience and care they need to express their personalities to the fullest.

Time and slow oxygenation give our wines what they need to express their different natures, without the addition of products or oenological chemicals.
