Humagne Blanche

The Humagne Blanche is a very old Valais grape variety, particularly well adapted to the Leytron terroir. Our parcels, formed of calcschist screes, are located beneath the Ardèvaz, at a place called Crêtet du Merle.

When young, this wine delights us with its delicate flavours of linden flower and white peach.

After 3 to 5 years, the Humagne blanche evolves favourably. Its aromas become more complex, giving the wine scents of wax and honey. Its tannin and liveliness make the Humagne blanche a true source of vitality.

When young, Humagne blanche is an ideal aperitif wine, but also goes along nicely with lake fish. As it ages, its flavours pair perfectly with hard cheeses and goat cheeses.

Our plots of Humagne blanche are home to two different species of orchid, the red helleborine and the Epipactis purpurea.
