Humagne Rouge

Our grandfather, Marin Michellod, has always loved this wine. Back in 1945, he would graft and vinify this then little-known grape variety. Since those pioneering days, Humagne rouge has remained one of our cellar's star wines.

Humagne rouge is a wild wine with an almond, clove and violet bouquet, and is the perfect accompaniment to a deer terrine, or a cut of lamb.

It is found in a spontaneous planting of bugrane naine, round-leaved geraniums and luzerne lupuline where a few pulsatilla anemones have recently taken root!
