The words of the oenologist :

"After years of youth in the vineyard, the exuberance of our Humagne Rouge has mellowed. The wood is less stocky, the bunches shorter and the berries smaller. The vines now find their balance in a living soil, protected by a grass cover.

A grape variety often described as “wild”, this 2018 Humagne rouge stands out and surprises me with its finesse and silky tannins. It deserves to be tasted slowly. Its initial minty nose is followed by a succession of berry scents: raspberry, lingonberry, serviceberry, but also blackberry and blackcurrant. On the palate, the attack is fine, with raspberry and blackberry, then the tannic structure takes shape, accompanied by flavours of almond, juniper and clove. The tannins become denser and a smooth harmony caresses the palate."
